We have a contract! Yay! No strike! Yay! This qualifies as the best news that I have heard in a long time. I am feeling a lot less stressed today and that is a very good thing.

I'm at work right now. Everybody seems to be in a good mood. I think we're all glad to have this strike crap behind us. Now we can get back to complaining about all the other stuff.

Mnemo has hooked me up with a couple of songs by Tresspassers William and I love them. They are beautiful, just so lovely and haunting. I decided that I have to have their cd. I hit three different stores looking for it and no one carries it in stock, the bastards. I guess I will just have to hit up Amazon for that.

I can't believe we're in the late stretch of November. Christmas is just around the corner! CHRISTMAS! This means that I need to do some serious Christmas shopping soon, because I hate to set foot in a mall anytime during December. It is wrong and evil. I should probably update my amazon wish list too, shouldn't I?

I miss you guys. It seems like whenever I'm online, no one else is. I got a lovely quality chat in with Mnemo the other night. Meow. I really do miss you all. I'm sure that one day we'll be able to talk online... when people aren't so busy with law school, watching football and taking yet another vacation.

We're supposed to go out tonight, to the dirty bar with cheap drinks. The bar which I ADORE. The bar that isn't full of skanky 19 year olds, the bar that plays alternative music, and did I mention the cheap drinks? Because they are cheap! Cheap as in $1.75! So yeah, because they are so cheap, they can't really afford to pay anyone to clean the place. It's in a basement of this building, and I think it doesn't meet many (any) health codes. But still, the fun!

You know, I came home from work tonight with every intention of updating, and then I open up my blog and see that you guys are bugging me to update. So now it only looks like I've updated to appease you, when I had planned on doing it all along. Sneaky.

I saw Bridget Jones The Edge of Reason last night and it is love. Love love love love love. It was every bit as wonderful as the first, and you all must go and see it as soon as possible. Love it. Love Bridget, love Mark Darcy, love Daniel Clever, love love love. Did I mention that I love it? Because I do. Love it. Really.

My roommates have gone away for the weekend, and taken the cat with them. This has left me rather sad and lonely. It's funny, because whenever my old roommate went away for a few days I was ecstatic to have the place to myself. But since I get along so well with my current roommates, I really miss them. This place just feels so big for just me. Plus, they took my cat with them, and that is just wrong. I mean, "technically" he's K's cat but his place is curled up next to me on the couch.

I've watched the first season of Arrested Development. It was awesome. It only took me three days to get through the whole season, and really I could've done it faster than that, but I put myself to a one disc per day limit. That show is wonderful, and I'm glad I got caught up in time for the new season.

No Desperate Housewives tomorrow night. Stupid music awards suck.

I'm trying to put together a new mix cd, but it needs a few more songs and I'm having trouble finding the right ones. It's bothering me far more then it should.

It was my dad's birthday yesterday. I got him one of those home cafe coffee makers. It only makes one cup of coffee at a time. He absolutely loved it. He set it up right away, and was all excited to make a cup of coffee after dinner. My dad is such a gadget geek. It's so nice to give a gift that someone really loves. He's impossible to buy for. Usually he tells me that he wants socks, or a picture of me and my brothers together. You think by now he'd be aware of my hatred of photos with me in them.

Oh Britney, how I love you, your barely there clothes and your remix cd. Yes, I did it. I went out and bought Britney's Greatest Hits Album today. I just spent a half hour dancing around my room to My prerogative, Toxic and all of her other greatest hits. Now I'm listening to the bonus remix cd and so far I'm really enjoying it. If only I could get my body to look the way hers does on the cover. Mind you, I'm convinced that it's the work of a really good air brush artist, so I guess I have a chance.

My roommate played hooky from work today, and we sat around and watched 5 or 6 episodes of Arrested Development, and I am in love. It is such a great show, and I am mad at myself for not watching it sooner. Jason Bateman is completely adorable, and the whole cast is so well put together. I'll probably tear through a bunch more episodes tomorrow.

I have four days off of work, and I love it. I'm glad to be away from that place and it's bad vibes for a while. I've booked a massage for Thursday and I am just going to hang out and relax these next few days. Or at least try to.

The other tv show I'm currently loving is a cartoon called Home Movies. If you ever find this show on, you have to watch it. It is so freaking funny. It has really clever dialogue, and it just cracks me right up. It is basically the reason why I am never online after midnight anymore, because I am usually watching it a 12:30. I just read that it's been cancelled after four seasons, and that is a damn shame. It is one of the best cartoons I have ever seen.

In other news, I called a friend of mine tonight. She's long distance so we don't talk too much. But she only moved a few months ago. Anyway, I call and we're doing the usual "How are you? I'm good" generic small talk, and then she says "who is this?" Pfft. Only one of your oldest friends, no big deal. Silly girl. Mind you, I am awful at recognizing voices, so really who am I to complain?

     We've been on the run
    Driving in the sun
    Looking out for number one
    California here we come
Right back where we started from

    Hustlers grab your guns
    Your shadow weighs a ton
    Driving down the 101
    California here we come
Right back where we started from
    Californiaaaaaaaa
    Here we come

    On the stereo
    Listen as we go
    Nothing's gonna stop me now
    California here we come
Right back where we started from
    Pedal to the floor
    Thinkin' of the roar
Gotta get us to the show
    California here we come
Right back where we started from
    Californiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
    Here we come

This Thursday is much better than last Thursday. I have missed this show so damn much. I'm bitter that work interfered with me watching it right at 8. But I'm going to watch it now. Seth Cohen here I come!
