I'm in love with the Amazing Race. Dude, it was awesome! I loved it! I love the cute gay boys, I love the cute straight boys, I love the son on the father/son team, I hate, hate, hate, hate Amanda, and I love this show! Wheeeeee! Is it Thursday yet?

I spent a ton of money on books yesterday. I've wanted to read the Anita Blake series for a while now, especially since everyone raves about how good they are. So I thought I'd pick up the first Anita Blake book, and I wanted to grab the first Wire in the Blood book (which is actually called The Mermaids Singing) because I really loved that show. I head up to the counter to pay, and the girl at the checkout says "oh, if you get another one you get one free." Sweet. But at this point I've already spent about a half hour at the bookstore, and I need to get going. I go and grab the next Anita Blake book. I head back to the checkout and the girl says "no, you misunderstood. If you buy the 3rd book, you get a 4th one for free." Well fuck. So I went back and grabbed the second Wire in the Blood book. I've got a lot of reading to do!

I watched the first part of an amazing miniseries from the UK called Wire in the Blood. It's based on a series of books by Val McDermid And it stars the amazing and wonderful Robson Green. I first caught him in another British series called Touching Evil where I promptly fell in lust with Robson Green, and his character Dave Creegan. Apparently the USA network is reworking Touching Evil, and might have it on their lineup sometime next year. This doesn't excite me at all, because the British episodes are fabulous. Mind you, I hated the American version of Queer as Folk when it first came out because I thought it didn't hold up compared to the British original. Now, I love QaF, even if Justin isn't anywhere near as hot as his British counterpart Nathan was. Well that was way off topic wasn't it? Anyway if ANYONE has seen Wire in the Blood (or Touching Evil) please let me know because I need someone to talk to about this amazing show. For the record, WitB is running in Canada on Showcase Tuesday nights at 10.

Stolen from SM, Eliza, Mnemo and probably some other people as well:

The story behind your lj user name?
** I don't have a lj. But there is a rather clever story behind the name I post under. I was born. My parents named my Stephanie. It got shortened to Steph by most people. Wow, wasn't that interesting? Yeah, I'm not so good with the whole creative thing.

    Are you a lesbian?
** I have far to many men to lust after. If we added women into that I'd never leave my TV. So I'll stick with men thanks. Unless you're Irina, or Faith, and then we can talk.

    Where do you live?
    ** In my house.

How many people have you blown that you then didn't fuck?
** You have to buy me dinner first to get the answer to that one.

Describe your CD in stereo right now?
**Car Stereo: Turin Breaks - Eather Song
**Discman: Tom McRae - Just Like Blood
**Main Stereo CD Player: The White Stripes - Elephant, Goldfrapp - Black Cherry, Longwave - The Strangest Things, New Order - Pop disc from box set, The Dears - No Cities Left. (love, love, love my 5 disc changer. I don't know how I ever lived before it.)

    Tattoos?
**Not yet... but I'm hoping sometime this summer. I want to get a single eighth note, something like this:

    Piercings?
**Just my ears. I thought about getting my nose done for a really long time, but realized I wouldn't want to wear a nose stud every day, and that I didn't want a visible hole in my nose if I wasn't wearing the stud.

    What you are wearing now?
**Jeans from American Eagle that are one size too big, Black button down shirt with grey pinstripes.

    Cologne/Perfume?
**Tommy Hilfiger Freedom for Women. I love it.

    Hair?
**Brown, just past my shoulders, desperately needs to be cut.

Who or What (was/is/are)In my mouth?
    **Teeth, tongue, the usual.

    In my heart?
**The Kief, I can see the pic of him holding a gun in the bottom half of the screen, and it keeps distracting me while I'm trying to type.

The most important thing on my hard drive?
    **My MP3's.

The most important thing on the web?
**The Blogs I frequent, all the links on the right, Ticketbastard.ca, all my smut story sources.

    Three of your favorite movies?
** Just three? Bridget Jones' Diary, Valmont, High Fidelity

What was the last thing you ate?
**Chocolate Extreme Blizzard from Dairy Queen. It's embarrassing how many times that makes it on this blog.

    Your favourite sandwich?
**Hot Turkey sandwich made with leftovers from Christmas dinner.

What do you want done with your body when you die?
**First, give away any organs you can salvage, then put me somewhere pretty, with a nice big statue like headstone.

    Who is your worst enemy?
    **Stupid People

    Ever been to Belgium?
**I took a day trip to Belgium from London. Dude, it was the longest day ever. It involved a long bus ride, then a ferry, then more time on the bus, and finally Belgium. I only spent about 3 hours in Brugge, but it was enough time to fall in love with the city, eat a Belgium waffle, buy some Belgium chocolate and eat an apple fritter that I watched the guy make. Yum!

    Ever been to Belize?
    **No

    Can you eat with chopsticks?
**Yes, but it gets really messy.

What are 5 cities you wouldn't mind relocating to?
**London, Toronto, Paris, New York, Vancouver

What's something that you wish people would understand?
**How stupid the general population is.

What is something you're pretty sure you don't understand?
    **The General Population

The genre character you would sell your beloved to fuck?
**Today I have to go with the Kief because it's Tuesday and I miss my fix. But Sark is a very, very close second. And if he doesn't mind sloppy seconds, all is good.

Movie List stolen from J-J and Frances. (Yeah, that's FrancEs with an 'e' my bad. Sorry hun!) Movies I've seen in bold.

    The Godfather (1972)
The Shawshank Redemption (1994) - I loved this, but couldn't figure out why it seemed so familiar, until I realized it was based on a Steven King short story I had read.
    The Godfather: Part II (1974)
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) - Making me the only person on earth who hasn't seen this movie.
Schindler's List (1993) - Made me cry like a baby.
    Citizen Kane (1941)
    Casablanca (1942)
    Seven Samurai (1954)
Star Wars (1977) - Great fun
Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964)
Memento (2000) - I loved this! Loved everything about it. I thought it was brilliant.
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975)
    Rear Window (1954)
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)
Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980) - This was great too.
Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) - Harrison Ford was the hottest in the Indy movies.
The Usual Suspects (1995) - Someone spoiled the ending for me, so I've never watched it even though I've heard it's amazing.
Amelie (2001) - This was really cute.
Pulp Fiction (1994) - Great movie.
North by Northwest (1959) - My mom is obsessed with Cary Grant, so I've seen a lot of his movies.

    It's a Wonderful Life (1946)

    Double Indemnity (1944)

I found a very enjoyable 80's Lyric quiz here. It's become an obsession. There are all these lyrics running through my head, but I can't seem to come up with the song they belong to. It's driving me crazy. There are answers, but I don't want to look at them. I want to be able to get as many of these as possible. If anyone else would like to join me in this little obsession, that would be fun. We could all pool answers, and then I wouldn't feel like such a reject.

Does anyone know what song this is from? Because I can sing this one line, but I'm drawing a total blank on the rest of the song:
"Are you somewhere feeling lonely or is someone loving you?"
I know this song... I totally know it. I refuse to search for it, so can someone please tell me and put me out of my misery? Thank you.

Edited: to thank SM for saving my sanity and telling me this was Lionel Ritchie's Hello.

One Saturday night early in 1997, I was sitting at home waiting for friends to come pick me up. While I waited, I flicked through the tv channels when someone caught my eye. I knew him as Oliver Sampson, committee member with questionable intentions. But this wasn't Oliver. The designer suit had been replaced with a tweed jacket. The earring was gone, and there were wire rim glasses. Further investigation revealed that this was Rupert Giles, and I was watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I'd seen the movie years ago, and had heard there was a tv show, but I'd dismissed it as being stupid. The episode proved me right. It involved a talking puppet. My friends came, and I was glad I didn't have to watch the lame show anymore.

Fast forward a few months. I'm studying hard for my grade 11 chemistry exam. Why I felt the need to take chemistry, we'll never know. My brain, feeling fried screams at me to do something that doesn't involve actual thinking. So I check the tv guide and discover that the Buffy two hour premiere Welcome to the Hellmouth is being shown. The textbooks are shut, and I fall in love with a show called Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I've stuck with Buffy over the years. I've always loved the show... but recently it's become painfully obvious that Buffy needed to end. So it was with some mixed emotions that I watched the finale. (Some spoilers follow)

The good news is that I really liked it. I went into it with low expectations. Really, really low expectations. It ended up not being half as bad as I thought it would be. Spike didn't make me want to smack him too much, and I'm interest to see how they bring him on to Angel now since he was looking pretty dead to me. Speaking of dead... Anya. *cries* I love Anya, and I'm sad that she's gone. Couldn't we have killed some more annoying characters? Like Dawn? And all the SIT's? But my Andrew was saved. He was the saving grace of last year. My favourite part of the whole episode? Everyone playing the game involving Trogdor the Burninator. That made me so happy. So I think I'll end this review on a high note. I will miss the Buffy of yester-year and look forward to the nightly reruns on Space.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer 1997 - 2003. RIP.

My brother did the most wonderful thing ever. He went to Dairy Queen, and brought me back a Chocolate Extreme Blizzard, which I ate while watching The Kief. Ice Cream and the Kief should always go together.
24 spoilers ahead. I wasted all my nice thoughts on Buffy, so expect the 24 musings to be completely random and full of Kief Lust.

What? Gah! NOOOOOO! I'm not sure why, but I didn't think there was going to be a cliffhanger. Apparently I'm an idiot. I just thought they were going to wrap it up all pretty, and go home and get some sleep. Except for Tony and Michelle who were going to go home and fuck like bunnies. Isn't my version prettier? So let's focus on the positive pretty parts of the show. Starting of course with The Kief. Dude! DUDE! How hot was he? With the running around, and the guns, and the fighting! I am so going to miss my weekly Kiefer fix. I'm starting to feel the withdrawal already! *scrolls down to last entry...* Ok, better. I'm thinking Tuesday will probably be Kief day on my blog until I get some new episodes. And I'm glad I wasn't the only one *coughSullyMelcoughPoohcough* feeling the incestuous vibes between Kim and Kief. I totally understand, because Kief has chemistry with all women, we can't expect his tv daughter to be any different. Especially since Kate has made it obvious that she has no intentions of jumping Kief. *smacks Kate for being so fucking stupid* I want rid of her next season. She has no use at all. Ugh, the Marie stuff annoyed me. I don't want her either. Just get rid of all the Warners on that show. The world will be a better place for it. And apparently Section One has a role to play in all this. That Operations, he's sneaky. Oh! They could bring Michael on. And Nikita would be really hot with the Kief. *starts letter writing campaign*

Also, Tony was smokin hot tonight! Yum! And the scary note of the day... Did anyone else catch when Shappelle refered to the big guy at District as Vaughn? *shudders* I should have seen the ending coming just from that!

My computer at home is out of commission. I am so upset. I didn't get to check my email at all yesterday. Isn't that evil? It makes me very sad. People have finally come to repair the flood damage from last month. But my parents can't just let them throw down some new carpet and dry wall, that would be too easy. Instead they're adding in a bar, walling off one area into it's own room, and putting in a projection screen. Ok, so that part rocks, but the actual doing it is evil and I have a bad feeling that it's going to take forever. So now I'm at school officially to voice track my radio show for tomorrow night, but really on a mad blog reading spree.

I have one small complaint before I start the love for Pacey's Creek last night. After all the different hair styles we've seen over the years, are we really supposed to believe that Joey would stick with the frizzy, two toned hair for five years? Please. But none of that matters because she picked Pacey as we all knew she would. Life is good and happy, and I've been in a warm fuzzy mood all day (even with no home computer) due to the P/J love. Although my eyes still hurt a bit from crying like a baby. It was really embarrassing. But I know you were all crying too, so I feel better.

Now, I'm actually going to voice track my radio show, and then I'm heading to work.

I spent the day at Canadian Idol auditions and all I got was this stupid t-shirt. Granted you can't see the shirt, but it wasn't enough. For the record, I was not auditioning, I was helping out for work. It had it's moments of fun, but I swear to God if I hear Killing Me Softly, Hero or Natural Woman one more time I will have to kill someone. It won't be pretty. Also, why do people think that they can sing when they can't? Don't they realize? I mean, I can sing... I can carry a tune, I was in a ton of choirs in high school, and people tell me I have a nice voice. But I am well aware that I am not talented enough to make it in a national competition. So why do people who could not carry a tune to save their lives think that this is a good idea for them?

Highlight of the day - Meeting Alan Frew. Alan Frew, former lead singer of Glass Tiger. Glass Tiger, kick ass 80's band, with hits like Someday and Don't Forget Me (when I'm Gone). Do you have to be Canadian to know about Glass Tiger? I can't remember if they cracked the US market at all. But they were cool back in the day. I had their cassette when I was 8.

I'm so sad that I don't have a scanner. There was a lovely picture of Colin Farrell in the paper this morning. He was wearing a denim shirt that showed off a healthy amount of chest. I'm very sorry I can't share it with everyone. I checked the website, but they don't put up the pictures. Bastards. So you'll all just have to imagine how pretty it was.

Filming will soon start on Taking Lives, the best movie of all time. Ok, maybe that's high praise for a movie I really know nothing about. But what I do know is the cast... Angelina Jolie, Ethan Hawke and Kiefer Sutherland! The Kief, Lennox and kick ass AJ? I am so all over this movie.

Speaking of The Kief, yesterday while channel surfing I came across The Bay Boy. For those of you who aren't obsessed, The Bay Boy is a pretty crappy Canadian movie starring The Kief when he was only 18. Or, as my dad said "Look, it's Kiefer Sutherland when he was three." The movie is a coming of age story about a kid living in Nova Scotia during the 1930's. There was a girl in that movie that needs to give Kate Warner some lessons. She invited The Kief over to "study" and instead had sex with him. I was pretty proud of that girl. We need more people like her in movies with The Kief.

So here's some eye candy since I had to bump the Hugh love down...

One you don't want to read this. It will just make you sad.

I saw X2 last night! I loved it! And instead of doing a review that might spoil something for those of you who haven't seen this, I will instead just say that I love Hugh Jackman. The man is a god.

And James Marsden is pretty damn hot as well. Even when he's doing the boy band dance move.

I just spent $130 on this. Except mine is brown suede. And super cute. Complete impulse buy, but I loved it so much that I had to buy it.

So I saw What a Girl Wants last night. It was good, in the way that only a really bad cheesy movie can be good. Darcy looked adorable as always. Except people kept calling him Henry. Someone should have told the writers that Colin Firth can only be in a movie if his name is Darcy. Also, Darcy's finance in the movie was played by the woman who played Miss Bingley in Pride and Prejudice. I kept waiting for her to bug Darcy about "fine eyes." All this talk of P&P has made me want some eye candy.

    Much better...
On to the television watching from last night.
24 was great. As always. Even when I'm not happy with that show, I still love it. A few quick thoughts. Jack is the hottest thing ever. With the yelling, and the threatening, and the shaking, and some more yelling. And let's not forget the phone call with Kim. I'd follow Jack's orders any day. I didn't hate Kim quite as much as I normally do. That's not really saying much for her though. Also, we got a shot of Kate in the bath. Without Jack. Really, what is the point of that? I also have to ask, after a crazy long day, where among other things, you just found out that your future brother in law is dead, your sister is insane and tried to blow up LA, someone was beaten to death in front of you, and you were tortured, would you really crawl into a bath at 5:30 in the morning? Wouldn't you just collapse in a heap on your bed, and cry yourself to sleep? Or go to CTU to see your father? I don't think a bath would be first on my list. Unless Jack was there, and then it would make all the sense in the world. Also my love/hate relationship with Sherry continued. I didn't see that twist at the end though. There are only 2 hours left, and then I will have to spend a long, long time with no weekly new Kief fix. There will be some serious withdrawal. Thank god for the box set.

Buffy had far too many whiny Buffy moments for me, but Andrew cracked me up. "You could have magically decapitated me!" He's great. Caleb was also wonderful, although I was sad that he didn't kick Buffy's ass a little more. Only two more episodes of this left as well. I've always loved Buffy, but it is time to bring it to an end. So far these have been some of the best episodes from the past few years. I just hope this show goes out on a high note.

My friend just called to cancel tonight. No X-Men for me sadly. I called another friend and tried to talk her into going but she (gasp!) doesn't want to see X-Men! I don't understand it at all. I tried to explain that there were cute boys, but she didn't seem to care. Then I tried to explain how many people like it better than the first one, and she said she hadn't seen the first one! I can't believe that I am friends with someone who hasn't seen X-Men.

So then I tried to get her to see Identity, but the scary factor in that turned her off. And then she said that she wanted to see What a Girl Wants. So I laughed at her for a while, but she was all sneaky and used my own powers of persuasion against me... she mentioned that Colin Firth was in it. And that CF is hot. Damn! So now I am spending cheap movie Tuesday seeing What a Girl Wants. CF had better look HOT!

    Sigh...

First off, thanks to SullyMel for posting a pic of Kiefer sitting around half naked. Why is it that I never see that when I'm in a bar?

Now, on to This or That Tuesday.

    1. TV or radio? TV. Radio doesn't pay enough.
    2. On the radio: talk or music station? MUSIC!
    3. Actual books or books-on-tape (or e-books)? Actual books, unless Kiefer has being doing some books on tape. I could happily spend the rest of my life listening to that man speak.
    4. Actual newspaper, or web version? Actual newspaper. Less eyestrain.
    5. Wall Street Journal or National Enquirer? I'm shallow... NE.
    6. TV news...news channel such as CNN, or your local broadcast news? Local broadcast news because I work for them, and I like getting paid. Plus it's fun to look for bloopers when you're not working.
    7. A movie you've been looking forward to seeing gets bad reviews all around. See it anyway, or pass? Depends on how bad the reviews are, and who's in it. If a film I wanted to see got completely trashed, I probably wouldn't go. Unless one of my boys was in it, and then I'd probably go anyway.
    8. See movies when they first come out, or wait a few weeks for the lines at the theater to get shorter? If I have an evening off and can go, I go.
    9. TV: cable, satellite dish, or just plain old antenna? Cable.
    10. Thought-provoking question of the week: If you had to choose only one form of media to come into your home, which would you choose...print (newspapers, magazines) or electronic (TV, internet)? Why? Electronic all the way. You can find most information out on the net anyway.

I'm going to see X-Men tonight. I'm very excited. I've heard nothing but good things about this, and I can lust after Hugh Jackman for 2 hours. Life is good.

     Alias Spoilers ahead...
    *
    *
    *
    *
    *
I've been digesting Alias for about and hour and a half now, and I still don't really know what to make of it. It wasn't what I expected, that's for sure. I was really glad that I went into this unspoiled. Well, as unspoiled as a spoiler whore like me can get. Spoilers probably would have made me less insane while watching this. So here are my completely random thoughts on Second Double/The Telling.

First, I did not wait for a week to have my first scene be S/V freakage. No thank you. However, I did wait all week to see Sark look like he did in his first scene. That man is so bloody hot. Unfuckingbelievable. I really hope they make better use out of Sark next season. And the raging Sarkina? My god. They were on fire. It's obvious that if you put the two of them in a scene together they will produce some major sparks. And the Sark Curls are out of control. In a good way. They needed someone's *coughminecough* hands in them. Desperately. And the brown suit/black shirt combo? Niiiice. And the casual hanging outfit? Really Niiiiiice.

Will gets hotter every freaking week. He was in top form today. All sweaty, and dirty, and battered and kicking ass. I'm not going to ask when it was the Will learned how to fire a gun. I'll just assume that it was the same time that Vaughn was getting his field training. More on Will later...

Jack and Kendall are the best! "Now you're just mocking me." "Yes." That is why Jack is the best ever, and we should all worship him. I mean more than we already do. And Kendall? "I'm getting bored with your hunches." About time someone took Syd down a few notches.

CL is the best actor. He did such a great job tonight, even if he was hurting my Will.

I loved the German Club, and the song that was playing. If anyone knows what it is, I'd appreciate knowing. ABC probably won't have it posted for a while yet. And I can't believe we ever thought the scrawny German guy could ever be Sark. It was obviously some very wishful thinking on our parts.

Irina is amazing and wonderful, and I do want to have her babies.

I loved EF's whole "my god, Will is a double?" teary eyed routine. It was very nice. Know what else I loved about EF? Everyfrickinthing! Especially the Sarkie (or should that be Frark? Or maybe Sarkison? Alliark? I don't know...) but it was Sark getting some much needed action, and it made me so very happy! "You don't fancy him..." Vulnerable Sark is so cute. Awwww...

Um, Will? Don't have "I think my girlfriend's an evil double" conversations in the house, ever! At about this point, I kinda lost it. There was crying, and yelling at the tv, and more crying, and a lot more crying. Did I mention the crying? Then there was the Syd/EF/Allison fight which rocked. Except that I was still sobbing.

Which leads us to the end, or the WTF part of the show. We're in Hong Kong? Huh? Hey, there's Vaughn with a ring... Heh, I'm liking this already. Please let it be Alice! So Syd's been MIA for 2 years. That was not the twist I was expecting. But apparently Will's ok, so that's good. How he survived, I'm not quite sure because he was looking pretty much like toast, but if he's alive I'm not going to bitch.

So that was it. We now have 4 months to try and figure out what the fuck happened. See you on the boards!

I've been laughing at this for three days now.

Today's the big day. I'm very curious to see what happens on Alias tonight. I've been very, very good and have avoided spoilers like the plague. I did read the bits of script in the Vault, but that's it. I really don't know what will happen tonight. I'm really looking forward to it though. I just hope it doesn't disappoint me.

And now, for no reason other than the fact that he's completely beautiful, and I just recently learned how to cap here are some Mr. Darcy pictures for us all to drool over.

Thanks again to SullyMel for all of her help. Without her, these pics would not be possible! Thanks babe!

I had to edit this because I accidentally posted the same picture twice...

Ok, first before I get to the One/Caleb porn pictures, I have a nekkidColin Farrell story. A friend of mine works at a film company in Toronto that is processing Colin's latest film. If you've been to SullyMel's I'm sure you've seen the picture of Colin half naked preparing for a love scene with someone who isn't me. Well apparently this scene requires a lot of nakedness... And Colin is... big. End story.

Now on to the One/Caleb porn. If you've been by One's tagboard you know exactly what I'm talking about. Well I have found pictures...
First, here's Caleb. I guess he was getting a little hot under the collar, because he took it off:

And here comes One in full on seduction mode:

Caleb tries to resist her wanton ways...

    But who could resist One?

Heh... and if you think these pics look like screencaps from the Firefly episode Our Mrs. Reynolds, I have no idea what you're talking about. But a random thank you to SullyMel for helping me out with screencaps.

I'll probably get to the Friday Five tonight, since they were kick ass music questions. But for now, back to work!

I've gone on an insane money spending kick. It's good and bad... The good part is that I went to the bank and put all my income tax return into paying off my car loan. I'm now a little bit closer to being debt free. The bad part is that since I spent all my income tax return money on non shallow non frivolous things, I now want to buy shallow frivolous things. Yesterday I went to my favourite record store (think High Fidelity only no JC sadly) and got the new Martin Gore album, and Longwave's The Strangest Things. I've been listening to Longwave's Wake Me When It's Over on repeat over and over again in an obsessive manner. It is such a good song. On Sunday I got the latest Placebo album Sleeping With Ghosts. It's also a great album. And last week a friend from work brought me back a copy of Tom McRae's Just Like Blood from his trip to England. It also falls in the great album category. Along with The Dears No Cities Left, which I got the day before. That's five cd's in two weeks. And there are still more that I want. I need to stop being so obsessive with music...
So here is the short reviews of all those albums:
Martin Gore - Counterfeit2: If you like Depeche Mode you will like this.
Longwave - The Strangest Things: If you like South and Interpol you will like this.
Placebo - Sleeping With Ghosts: If you like any other Placebo album/song you will like this.
Tom McRae - Just Like Blood: If you like Coldplay you will like this.
The Dears - No Cities Left: If you like the Smiths you will like this.
